John Crawford

(Western District and Archdiocese of Glasgow) Born at East Monkland, Lanarkshire, 29/30th September 1846, the son of James Crawford and Mary Anne O’Doherty; ordained a priest in Valladolid, 16th March 1872, and left for Scotland, 15th April 1872; retired to Antwerp, 1905, where he died, 21st December 1910.

Report of the ordination of John Crawford in the Scottish Catholic Directory of 1873.

The Rev. John Crawford was born in the Parish of East Monkland, Lanarkshire, on the 29th September 1846; entered Blairs College, 16th July 1862; and went to the Scots College, Valladolid, in September 1865. The dates of orders are the same as in the preceding account. On his return to Scotland he was for some time in Dumbarton, and on 18th May he was stationed at St Lawrence’s, Greenock.
